We are delighted to offer 20 free training sessions on campus commencing week 2 of Semester 1 2020 (2 sessions per week for 10 weeks). Our coaches are experienced members of Sydney University Athletics Club & great fun! It is a perfect way to fill your semester.

In order to attend, you must register first!

Participants will be placed in groups appropriate to their level of fitness with the aim of both fun & fitness!

    Every Tuesday at 1:00pm-1:45pm commencing Tuesday 3 March 2020 until Tuesday 12 May 2020 (weather permitting)
  • Every Thursday at 1:00pm-1.45pm commencing Thursday 5 March 2020 until Thursday 14 May 2020 (weather permitting)

FAQs

What are the sessions like? They have been designed by an Athletics Australia Level 3 accredited coach who has coached 3 Sydney University Olympians and are tailored to assisting you run a great 4km race based on your current level of fitness & running background

What happens if there is poor weather or rain? All the sessions are on grass so in the event of rain, the oval may be closed and the session cancelled for safety. Refer weather updates above which will be updated prior to each session

Who are the coaches? All are current members of Sydney University Athletics Club and super keen to train you!

Where do we meet? At the RUNSYDUNI flags on Oval No. 1. You will be allocated a group by the Head Coach

What should I wear? Comfortable clothing and running shoes! Sweat-wicking fabrics are best. Always a good idea to bring a water bottle on hotter days.

Can I join at part way through the term? Yes, but the sooner you commence, the the fitter you will be & the more fun you will have

What if I miss a session? No problem, we will see you at the next session!

Can I bring my bags? Participants are welcome to bring their bags to sessions, our coaches will keep an eye on them but understandably, cannot be held responsible for your private belongings

Can I change before a session or shower after? Yes there are change rooms at Oval No. 1. Alternatively become a member of Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness (SUSF) if you aren’t already and you can shower at either the University Sports & Aquatic Centre or Arena Sports Centre.
